Ricky Sim has devoted 18 years of his career to the Singapore Civil service since March 1977, including six years working in Hong Kong and three years in Bangkok as a diplomat. In July 1994, he joined the private sector as Chief Operating Officer of Suntec Investment Group of Companies (SIPL) Ricky was concurrently the Managing Director of Chesterton Suntec International (Property Consultancy Business)

In October 1997,Ricky opened a new chapter for Chesterton Singapore with a new vision for the company, aptly coined “A Whole New Team, A Whole New Standard” and called for the transformation of the traditional real estate advisory and agency business model to one providing niche and customized services to both local and global clients. In 2005, Ricky has managed to penetrate the Middle East and North African markets, providing real estate consultancy and development advisory services to the fast emerging GCC (Gulf Co-operation Council) market. The unyielding efforts of the Company was eventually rewarded when Chesterton was conferred the Best Real Estate Advisor in the GCC Award in December 2006.

Ricky also spearheaded the creation of a new business unit – Chesterton Corporate Solutions, providing “one-stop” services for investors looking for investment opportunities in the region.
